Entitlement Coordinator/ Business Administrator

Promenade at University Place - Established assisted living owner/ operator is looking for ambitious individual with the ability to coordinate personnel requirements and navigate through NYS entitlements for eligible participants. This is a dynamic position that requires administration and coordination with various NYS agencies and departments within the organization. RESPONSIBILITIES: Entitlements/ case management Determine Medicaid eligibility and obtain information about resident/family financial status Assist residents/ families with Medicaid and other financial programs that they are eligible for to meet care needs Assist with SSI/ SSP matters and coordinate telephone interviews with agencies Follow up with Medicaid, SSA, SSP and Pension agencies through approval process Stay updated with respect to public assistance programs and help develop policies accordingly Maintain status of resident eligibilities and follow up to ensure timely assessments Coordination of physician appointments and documentation of case management Maintain resident personal fund allowances Keep up with resident account balances for billing and follow up on collection efforts Staffing Coordination Implement the hiring, training and onboarding processes for new employees Coordinate work schedules and enforce compliance with assisted living requirement needs Create staffing reports, monitor performance and submit reports to management Ensure staff is in compliance with regulatory requirements including physicals/ certifications Hiring of HHA/ PCA personnel to ensure appropriate levels of staffing for assisted living communities. This includes screening resumes, interviews and onboarding process that ensures all paperwork, medical evaluations, background checks and certifications are met prior to hiring Coordinate and oversee HHA orientation and regulatory compliance requirements Maintain accurate and updated health records for all home health aides Maintain and administer HHA training, In-service/ supervision schedules Other Administrative Duties Keep files organized and updated Management of front desk personnel /Coverage of front desk as needed Maintain all aspects of office function office supplies/ equipment/ billing/ vendors Performing other duties as needed and/or assigned Requirements/ Skills Knowledge of Medicare, NYS Medicaid, and HMO processes is required High comfort level to meet with residents/families to discuss and advise on their financial obligations Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing Must be computer literate, and proficient in Microsoft Office and excel. Should be highly detailed and organized.
