Temporary Trust Reconciliation Specialist

Akerman is seeking an experienced Accounting professional to join our Financial Services team in Orlando, FL on a temporary, six-month basis to support the Financial Services Team by performing timely and accurate reconciliations of law firm trust bank accounts. Akerman has adopted a hybrid work environment. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Perform monthly trust bank account reconciliations. Research and resolve reconciling items in a timely manner. Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure accuracy and compliance. Encouraged to identify opportunities to streamline reconciliation processes and adopt new efficiencies. Support documentation of improved procedures and controls. Qualifications: 3+ years of prior experience performing bank account reconciliations required; law firm or trust accounting experience is a plus. Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently. Proficiency in Excel and accounting systems. We offer an excellent compensation.
