Hotel Event And Group Sales Manager

As the Event and Group Sales Manager, you will play a key role in selling and planning events, serving as the liaison between clients and our dedicated hotel staff to ensure flawless execution of every event. This position will focus on weddings and social market business and occasionally corporate business. This is a creative and dynamic role that requires a passion for event and conference planning, along with a commitment to delivering exceptional customer experience. Qualifications: High school diploma/GED. Bachelor's degree preferred. Prior Sales and Hotel experience preferred. Experience with Delphi or Hotel Property Management System preferred. Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Powerpoint and Excel). This position requires a flexible work schedule which includes some nights, weekends, and holidays. Key Skills: Sales and leadership skills. Detail-oriented and highly organized. Ability to multi-task, make decisions and prioritize in a fast-paced environment under pressure. Positive demeanor. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Customer service focused. Key Responsibilities: Selling Events: Meet monthly sales quotas, drive sales revenue, activating prospecting, and qualifying new business, and existing business. Negotiate contracts. Respond to leads with the same business day. Client Guidance: Lead clients through their journey of creating memorable experiences with care and attention to details. Sales Administration: Manage sales agreements, ensuring all terms and conditions are met. Ensure Banquet Event Orders and all paperwork are completed and have been distributed to the client and internal departments promptly so the internal department can schedule to fully execute the events successfully. Event Coordination: Oversee all aspects of food, beverage, and event needs from inception to completion. Excellent attention to details. On-site Event Contact: Be the point of contact for clients, enduring smooth execution. Requires some hands-on support during the actual event. Host Site Visits: Showcase the venue and its unique offerings to potential clients, Bridal Shows, and Expos, and attend tourism meetings and events. Menu Tasting: Assist clients in selecting the perfect menu for their event. Relationship Building: Foster strong relationships with clients, ensuring their satisfaction and loyalty, and working closely with outside vendors. Establish and maintain relationships within the local community by attending state, county, and town sponsored events.
