Overview What You Will Do
As a Documentation Specialist, you will be responsible for creating, organizing, printing, copying, scanning, binding, and storing submittal documentation in accordance with customer contract requirements. Such documentation is inclusive of, but not limited to, engineering drawings, specifications and schedules, and proposal requirements.
A Typical Day at Prime Controls
Acts as liaison between project managers, customers, automation specialists, field resources, and CAD to prepare submittal documentation.
Generates test documentation to meet internal and external testing requirements.
Follows established processes for gathering documentation required for submittal preparation.
Gathers information for submittals and verifies documentation with engineering. Obtains quotes, supporting documentation, and specifications.
Enter data, scans, prints, and copies as required for submittal preparation.
Assembles and binds submittal documentation.
Reviews and verifies project documents for format compliance with submittal requirements and completion.
Confers with account managers, project managers, engineers, operations, CAD supervisor, and others to specify submittal documents needed, coordinates schedules, and prepares documents.
Recommends improvements to document appearance and templates. Provides input to streamline document production and assembly.
Assists other employees and users with document software and hardware troubleshooting.
Occasionally proofreads submittal documents upon request from project managers and engineers.
