The Community Banker delivers personalized client service by holding financial conversations with clients and prospects to determine their needs and provide appropriate solutions. This position is responsible for maintaining client relationships, with emphasis on First Interstate Bank's Service Commitments and in accordance with our vision and values. Essential duties and responsibilities include: Delivering personalized client service in person and over the phone by answering questions, assisting with issues, and offering solutions. Opening and maintaining a variety of products, including consumer and business checking and savings accounts, Individual Retirement Accounts, Certificates of Deposit, and consumer and small business credit cards. Holding financial conversations with clients and prospects to determine needs and provide appropriate solutions. Processing new consumer loan requests; may also engage in conversations or process new small business loan requests. Identifying referral opportunities to other lines of business and consistently utilizing 360 View to document referrals and other client activity. Building client relationships through outbound outreach and proactive engagement. Performing Teller duties as needed, conducting financial transactions such as check cashing, deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and accurately counting currency and coin. Completing work accurately with minimal errors. Participating in volunteer activities and financial education efforts. Staying current on regulatory changes and demonstrating compliance with all bank regulations, policies, and procedures related to assigned job functions. Qualifications: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required. 1-3 years banking or related experience required. Physical demands and working environment are representative of those that must be met or encountered to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Compensation and benefits include a competitive total compensation package including base salary and benefits. The anticipated pay range for this position is $25.75 to $38.64 per hour in WA and depends on a variety of non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills and experience, education, and geographic location. Benefits include, but are not limited to, medical, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability benefits and life insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings account, employee assistance program, 401(k), Paid Time Off (new hires accrue at.069 per hours worked which equates to approximately 18 days per year inclusive of paid sick time) and up to 11 paid Federal holidays.
