As a Product Owner on Weyerhaeuser’s Wood Products IT Manufacturing team, you will be responsible for managing a suite of IT applications and digital solutions that support our Wood Products manufacturing operations. This is a hands-on role focused on ensuring that IT products meet critical business needs in the mills and align with Weyerhaeuser’s overall strategy and goals. You will serve as the bridge between mill operations and IT, translating manufacturing requirements into an actionable technology backlog and guiding cross-functional teams through delivery. In this position, you will gain broad exposure to manufacturing processes, industrial technologies, and agile IT delivery, while driving meaningful improvements in safety, quality, and productivity. Key Responsibilities: Serve as the primary liaison between manufacturing business stakeholders and the IT development team(s) and vendors.

Facilitate clear communication to gather business requirements, report progress, and manage expectations.

In partnership with business stakeholders, create and maintain a living product backlog of features, enhancements, and bug fixes.

Document functional requirements for each backlog item, including detailed acceptance criteria.

Facilitate a cross-functional team to understand and prioritize business needs ensuring each product increment/release delivers maximum value to the operations.

Balance innovation and new feature development with technical debt and sustainment activities, using standard evaluation criteria (ROI, fit, feasibility) for backlog items.

Ensure each release meets business needs, is delivered on time, and supports Weyerhaeuser’s strategic goals for operational excellence.

Manages product-related projects within IT PMO and WY PACE guidelines, including project budgets

Develop project charters and schedules, track project budgets and resources, and ensure compliance with governance standards.

Facilitate Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, demos/reviews, and retrospectives, to drive iterative delivery and continuous improvement.

Participate in resource capacity planning to ensure a realistic and balanced workload across sprints.

Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) with business users and/or vendors to validate all acceptance criteria are met before each release.

Ensure that all changes follow standard ITIL processes for change, incident, and problem management.
