Base pay range
$145,000.00/yr - $200,000.00/yr We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Preconstruction to lead and manage all aspects of the preconstruction phase of our projects. This role will require strategic leadership, exceptional communication skills, and a deep understanding of the construction industry. The Director of Preconstruction will collaborate with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors to ensure projects are accurately estimated, scoped, and ready for construction. Key Responsibilities: Preconstruction Planning & Strategy:
Oversee and lead the preconstruction process, including budgeting, scheduling, and procurement for all assigned projects. Team Leadership:
Manage and mentor a team of preconstruction professionals, ensuring the development and delivery of high-quality, accurate estimates and project schedules. Client & Stakeholder Relations:
Build and maintain relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors, serving as the main point of contact for preconstruction activities. Risk Mitigation:
Identify and assess potential project risks and implement strategies to mitigate these risks in the early stages of project development. Quality Control & Accuracy:
Ensure the accuracy of all preconstruction documentation, including cost estimates, schedules, value engineering, and design reviews, in collaboration with the project management team. Qualifications: Stable Tenure:
Must have a proven track record with stable tenure, having worked in the construction industry for several years. Local to Metro Atlanta:
Must be local to the Metro Atlanta area or willing to relocate for the position. General Contractor Experience:
A minimum of 3-5 years of recent experience working with a general contractor in a preconstruction leadership role. Educational Background:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred. Strong Communication & Leadership Skills:
Ability to communicate effectively with clients, team members, and stakeholders and demonstrate strong leadership capabilities. Hybrid Work Schedule:
Flexible work arrangement with the ability to work from home and in-office as needed.
