Description
We are seeking a driven and customer-focused
Trailer Sales & Truck Equipment Sales Representative
to grow new business and strengthen existing customer relationships. This role combines
outside sales (1–2 days/week)
with
on-lot retail and dealership sales (3–4 days/week)
and focuses on trailers, truck bodies, truck equipment, and related parts.
This is an excellent opportunity for a sales professional who enjoys building long-term relationships, working with fleet and commercial customers, and representing a company with a strong reputation for quality and service.
What You’ll Do
Develop new business and grow existing customer relationships through outside sales and dealership visits
Engage fleet managers, commercial customers, and walk-in retail clients
Identify customer needs and partner with leadership to recommend proper equipment specifications
Conduct product demonstrations and capability presentations
Prepare quotes, sales orders, and invoices using company ERP software
Maintain accurate sales logs, pipeline notes, and lost-sale reporting
Coordinate delivery and pickup of trailers, truck bodies, and equipment
Collaborate closely with the Truck Equipment Service Manager on installation schedules
Provide customer and market feedback to leadership
Assist with trade shows, customer events, and on-lot equipment displays
Support team members as needed and deliver superior customer service at all times
Follow all safety guidelines and use required personal protective equipment
Drive company trucks and tow trailers as needed

Requirements What We’re Looking For
Proven experience in outside sales, preferably in truck equipment or trailer sales
Strong communication skills with the ability to build lasting customer relationships
Technical aptitude and comfort discussing equipment specifications
Organized and detail-oriented with strong follow-up skills
Able to meet customers off-site and represent the company professionally
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree with 4–6 years of related sales experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience in outside sales; truck equipment and/or trailer sales experience preferred
Strong communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to work with commercial, fleet, and retail customers
Ability to understand customer needs and recommend appropriate truck bodies, trailers, and equipment solutions
Strong organizational skills with experience managing quotes, sales pipelines, and follow-up activities
Comfortable conducting product demonstrations and customer presentations
Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to professionalism and superior service
Ability to work a hybrid schedule that includes outside sales and on-lot retail sales
Willingness and ability to meet customers off-site and travel locally
Proficiency using ERP or CRM systems for quoting, invoicing, and sales tracking preferred
Valid Colorado Vehicle Salesperson – Motor Vehicle Sales License
Current DOT Physical (within 12 months of hire)
Ability to obtain a Class A CDL within one year of employment (CDL preferred at time of hire)
Physically able to perform job duties, including lifting up to 40 lbs frequently and 80 lbs occasionally
Ability to drive trucks and tow trailers safely
Comfortable working in an active environment with exposure to outdoor weather and moving mechanical equipment
