The Transit and Rail Practice We are seeking a Senior Traction Power Engineer in Oregon.

What You’ll Do Key Responsibilities

Lead a group of traction power engineers and electrical designers to develop traction power construction document packages.

Design traction power substations, one‑line diagram, protective relay schematics, equipment layout, site plans, feeder cables, duct bank and conduit layouts, and grounding systems.

Coordinate with other systems engineers for systems integration.

Coordinate with electric utility companies to design the medium AC voltage power feeds to the traction power substations.

Perform traction engineering studies including short circuit, protective device coordination, and arc flash hazard analysis.

Develop specifications and cost estimates.

Review project submittals and requests for information (RFI) from vendors & contractors.

Provide testing and commissioning support.

What You Bring Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering

Project Management experience

10 to 15 years of experience with 600, 750 and 1500Vdc traction power substation design

Professional Engineer’s license is required.

Experience with North American transit industry is highly desirable.

Potential salary range: $118,000/year - $148,000/year

The posted salary range represents the typical range for this position and is provided in accordance with applicable state and local pay transparency laws. Actual compensation will be commensurate with experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
