Can you come in hitting the ground running with some heavy hitter books of business? Are you a chameleon in sales, able to speak to technical solutions while fostering strong client partnerships?
General Summary The primary mission of the Sales Executive role is to grow our facility solutions (building envelope, energy efficiency, sustainability, and more) with large commercial and industrial customers. You will work closely with efficiency engineers and project managers to ensure high customer satisfaction in identification and sales of turnkey solutions and projects.
Here's What You'll Do
Quickly evaluate existing systems in a facility (lighting, HVAC, mechanical, BMS/controls) and identify solutions and upgrades utilizing hours of operation, cost of electricity, probable utility incentive, and tax benefits.
Create and revise project scopes to conform to ROI and Payback criteria that will meet client, utility and sales requirements.
Work with utility on all facets of ensuring project conforms and fully qualifies for incentives.
Ensure projects meet profitability metrics.
Identify comprehensive projects (mechanical, gas, controls, etc.) and bring in necessary resources to develop a comprehensive project, as warranted.
Collaborate with sales engineers and project managers in a team environment to create value for customers.
Use a detail-oriented approach to evaluate sales opportunities and adjust as needed to customer needs.
Travel out of region will be required (estimated 40‑60%).
Qualifications
5+ years consultative sales experience.
Proficiency with Salesforce preferred.
Ability to multi-task in a high volume, fast-paced work environment with very tight deadlines.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Confident and coachable.
Displays passion for learning and brings new ideas to the table that benefit peers and clients.
$100,000 – $230,000 a year (Base + uncapped commission).
We offer a fantastic lineup of benefits, including Medical, Dental, Vision, FSA, HSA, 401(k) Matching, Paid Vacation, Paid Sick, Paid Holidays, Paid Parental Leave, Paid Short‑Term & Long‑Term Disability, Tuition Reimbursement, and a flexible hybrid work schedule (for office-based employees). Working at Mantis also brings tremendous professional development opportunities that allow you to make a real impact on both the company and your career.
Not sure you meet every single requirement? Studies show that women and individuals from underrepresented groups often hesitate to apply unless they check every box. At Mantis, we’re committed to building an inclusive and equitable team—so if this role excites you, we’d love to hear from you, even if your experience doesn’t match every single qualification.
Mantis Innovation is an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
