Remote Tax Call Center Representative

We are seeking dedicated Remote Tax Call Center Representatives to provide Tier 1 customer support for personal income tax inquiries. In this role, you'll serve as a trusted resource for callers—guiding them through general and routine tax-related questions with professionalism, empathy, and accuracy.

What You'll Do

Serve as the first point of contact for personal income tax inquiries via inbound and outbound calls

Provide clear, accurate information about state tax programs

Research and resolve routine issues while ensuring a positive customer experienceMaintain professionalism, patience, and empathy with every interaction

Accurately document interactions using CRM and call center systems

Navigate multiple IT systems efficiently to provide timely resolutions

What You Bring

3+ years of accounting experience or experience explaining financial information to individuals

2+ years of customer service experience, including call center or telecommunications

1+ year of computer proficiency, with the ability to work across multiple systems simultaneously

Experience using CRM platforms and call center software

Strong communication skills and the ability to simplify complex information

U.S. Citizenship (required)

Preferred Qualifications

Maryland residency strongly preferred

Coursework in bookkeeping or accounting

Education Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent (required)

Additional coursework in bookkeeping or accounting preferred

All personnel must successfully complete a Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS) state and federal criminal background check, including FBI fingerprinting.
