Director of Educational Technology & Platform Development (EdTech & Platform Division Head) The Donovan's Venom is a 501(c)(3) non‑profit organization dedicated to bringing music, art, and entertainment to those who need it the most. The organization serves individuals without means or access, pledging relief to all impaired or deprived individuals.

Overview We are building a learning platform that will serve as the central hub of our entire ecosystem. The platform will connect our programs, products, and media, enabling seamless delivery and scaling.

We are seeking a Director of Educational Technology & Platform Development to define, build, and scale the Donovan Learning Platform.

Key Responsibilities

Define and execute the vision for the Donovan Learning Platform.

Build and manage the product roadmap aligned with educational goals, user needs (students, educators, partners), and organizational strategy.

Lead development of the website, platform interface, learning functionality, and interactive features and integrations.

Establish development workflows (Agile, sprints) to ensure delivery, quality, and performance.

Ensure intuitive, seamless user experience and oversee UX/UI design across the platform.

Enable delivery of interactive media, animation, video, curriculum, and educational products, building a connected learning ecosystem.

Build systems to track user engagement, learning progress, platform analytics and use data to drive product decisions and improvements.

Oversee system architecture, platform design, scalability, reliability, performance, and support cloud infrastructure and backend systems.

Ensure data protection, system security, mitigate technical risks, and maintain compliance with relevant standards.

Identify opportunities for AI‑driven learning tools, personalization, automation, and drive innovation in platform capabilities.

Support development of subscription models, licensing frameworks, and align platform with long‑term sustainability.

Integrate platform across Interactive Media, Animation & Media, and Educational Products, ensuring it is the central hub of the ecosystem.

Lead engineers, designers, and product contributors; define workflows and expectations; build a culture of innovation and accountability.

Track platform performance, user engagement, feature adoption, and continuously improve product and experience.

Qualifications

5+ years in software development, platform, or technology leadership.

Experience with end‑to‑end product/platform development.

Strong understanding of system architecture, software development lifecycles, and UX/UI principles.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in EdTech or SaaS platforms.

Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Experience with data systems and analytics.

Experience in remote teams.

Commitment

15–25+ hours per week.

Executive‑level engagement.

Fully remote.
