Senior Digital Strategists
to work as account managers in our
Email
department for a limited term.
We have two openings for this position and are aiming for one to commence in February and the other in March. These limited-term positions will end at 9 months from the start date or November 13, 2026, whichever is earlier.
This position pays a fixed starting salary of $78,000 annually (prorated, per our company’s transparent employee compensation policy, with industry-leading benefits including 100% employer-covered health insurance, 401K with employer contribution, flexible vacation and sick leave, and much more.
This is a union position represented by the Campaign Workers Guild.
Responsibilities
Serve as email lead on several client accounts — leading client calls, developing and explaining email strategy, communicating with the client, setting content calendars and goals, writing, proofing and editing compelling emails, managing client approvals, executing email production, analyzing results, and optimizing based on performance and client feedback
Build creative data-informed email strategies that generate strong results in rapid response moments, while also setting programs up for long-term success — coming up with “out of the box” ideas to set programs apart
Provide support across the team as needed or assigned — helping provide coverage on other client accounts if necessary
Ensure all content is rooted in the authentic and honest voice of the client, and that each program is unique to each client
Use reports and online platforms to track results
Develop and deliver professional reports, projections, and memos for clients
Regularly A/B test topics and tactics across clients, while remaining on top of digital trends and tools, ensuring we are proactive in innovating for our clients
Effectively manage client communication and expectations across multiple programs
Work collaboratively with other strategists, managers, and members of the paid media and content teams to develop holistic strategies to maximize results across clients
Proofread, edit and help fact check content before it goes to the client or to supporters
Regularly utilize and/or test prototypes for technical solutions that leverage emerging technologies to solve specific workflow challenges
Brainstorm creative email ideas for clients and contribute to a collaborative team culture
Respond to news in real-time as needed, by drafting and producing rapid messages in response to fast-breaking news
Perform additional responsibilities as requested
Qualifications
Proven ability to handle multiple tasks and client accounts at once and meet tight deadlines as needed
Experience and demonstrated success in a senior strategist-level role or equivalent
Experience writing fundraising emails.
Demonstrated understanding of email best practices including theories of change, creative writing, A/B testing, error‑free copywriting, and email formatting
Experience communicating with clients
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Experience with using G‑Suite tools including shared Google Drive, Google Sheets, and Google Docs
Experience with progressive tools such as ActBlue, NGP, or ActionKit.
Experience in reading and analyzing data
Willingness to contribute to a collaborative team culture
