How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW? Airgas is hiring a Welding Sales Specialist in Atlanta, GA, Charlotte, NC, Tampa, FL, or Birmingham, AL. Reporting directly to the Director‑Sales, you will collaborate with Red‑D‑Arc sales teams and Airgas partners to drive rental, lease, and sale growth across BotX & cobot product lines. You will maximize cross‑promotion efforts, identify additional customer opportunities for weld automation, and specialty products (encompassing orbital & heating, blasting, and related welding equipment). Your responsibilities include following up on sales leads, building strong relationships with regional sales teams and Airgas partners, making effective presentations and demonstrations, owning the install‑process training and customer support for cobots, and leading cross‑training initiatives targeting Red‑D‑Arc & Airgas WPS to enhance and grow the cobot service model.
Maintain a safe working environment by following Airgas/Red‑D‑Arc’s health and safety guidelines.
Expand current BotX sales channels and collaborate with Airgas partners to develop and grow new sales channels in met‑fab and welding production environments.
Drive awareness and energize sales organization engagement around BotX/Cobots for expanding RDA’s met‑fab footprint.
Provide application guidance and project consults for BotX/Cobot opportunities.
Train RDA field sales teams and Airgas Advanced Fabrication Specialists to understand our capabilities and identify opportunities to grow BotX/Cobot rentals/leases/sales.
Initiate, grow, and tighten alignments with Red‑D‑Arc Sales Leaders, Airgas Advanced Fab Team, and Airgas Regional Companies to reinforce priority around BotX & Cobot sales.
Work with Airgas Advanced Fabrication teams and Account Managers to package gas/wire needs with cobot opportunities, capturing share gain and delivering total solutions.
Own BotX/Cobot installation, training, and customer support.
Provide exceptional customer service.
Represent the company at trade association meetings and trade shows.
Develop territory growth plans and target potential customers & leads.
Maintain accurate & timely reports, including business plans and regional forecasts.
Disciplined use of CRM and other sales resources to note customer activities.

Experience
Greater than five years sales experience in Automation and/or Weld Process Sales (rental experience preferred).
Strong background in all welding processes with special emphasis on cobots and automation.
Certifications such as CWI, CWE, CRAW, CWS, NCCER instructor (preferred).
Skills And Abilities
Ability to develop and execute market/business plans.
Adaptable to set and prioritize work with varying exceptions.
Ability to work with diverse personalities and styles.
Strong technical, oral, and writing skills as well as strong interpersonal and management skills.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups in a business setting.
Intermediate computer experience with all MS Office/Google products.
Communicates with clarity, verbally in one‑on‑one or group situations, and over the telephone.
Communicates well in writing by composing clear documents.
