Your Role Digital & eCommerce is a global team with colleagues across North America, EMEA and APAC. This is an exciting opportunity to work in one of the leading eCommerce businesses in the Life Science industry. The primary focus of the Digital & eCommerce team is to drive profitable growth for the multi-billion-dollar global eCommerce business, operating at significant scale across markets and regions.
This role can be based out of either St Louis, MO or Burlington, MA/Greater Boston Area.
This is a high visibility role with opportunities to present and interact regularly with senior and executive leadership teams. The person in this role will be responsible for developing short and long-term performance marketing strategies across channels including (but not limited to) Paid Search, Display, Video, Social, Programmatic and more. This includes owning a full-funnel strategy that balances demand capture with demand creation and brand-building initiatives to drive both short-term revenue and long-term customer loyalty. They will also have a forward-looking vision for how our channels should evolve, ensuring we are positioned to win in a rapidly changing landscape, including agentic AI, search transformation, and emerging media technologies. They will collaborate cross-functionally within eCommerce, Commercial/Sales, Product, Supply Chain, Finance/Controlling, and regional teams to build paid media plans that clearly outline impact to sales, underpinned by industry trends, competitor threats and market opportunities on a global scale. They will also be responsible for further strengthening channels that are strong revenue contributors while exploring new channels for growth and revenue contribution.
Who You Are
The authority on performance marketing strategy and investment across the global eCommerce organization
Anticipates and plans for the future of performance marketing, including the evolution of channels, agentic AI, and search transformation, ensuring the organization is set up to maintain a competitive advantage
Develops annual and long-term performance marketing strategies
Responsible for strategy, planning and execution of paid media programs to meet/exceed financial targets
Determine the optimal media mix across all channels, including pivoting when opportunities arise to diversify
Identifies and incubates emerging paid media channels and tactics, building business cases and scaling those that demonstrate incremental value
Translates business growth priorities into actionable media investment strategies
Oversees all performance marketing channels (paid search, Shopping, display, social, programmatic, etc.)
Key contributor to developing the vision and implementation of MarTech roadmap that will enable customer‑centric marketing and personalization at scale
Fluent in advanced measurement solutions to quantify the incremental revenue impact from paid media, including marketing mix modeling (MMM), multi‑touch attribution (MTA), incrementality testing, and experimental design methodologies
Builds and develops a high‑performing team by attracting and retaining top talent
Drives strategic initiatives forward with agility while collaborating in a highly matrixed global environment, effectively communicating and influencing at various levels of management
Understands the roles of brand and creative in the financial outcomes of performance marketing
Articulate storyteller capable of elevating and simplifying your message for all levels of audience
Unafraid of challenging the status quo and embracing change to test new ideas, experiment with emerging tactics, and lead in next‑generation digital and AI‑driven marketing approaches
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or direct experience in performance / digital marketing
10 or more years of relevant experience with minimum 6 years working hands on developing media plans and directly executing performance marketing campaigns
Experience working in marketing roles involving direct impact on revenue / sales
Experience managing an 8‑figure advertising budget
Experience managing multiple layers of direct reports and managing external agencies
Preferred Qualifications
Experience building emerging channels from pilot stage into scalable revenue contributors
Mastery in full funnel heavy up campaigns targeting customers across their purchase journey
Experience across MarTech and Data & Analytics platforms
Statistical Techniques: experimental design, analyses with probabilities and confidence intervals
Demonstrated experience building and leading high‑performing teams
Ability to present complex analytical information in clear, concise, and compelling manner to executive leadership to inspire action
Enthusiastic and self‑motivated, with the ability to lead projects proactively
Meticulous attention to detail, with an overall passion for continual improvement
Innovative and creative, with a logical and methodical approach to problem solving
Credible and articulate, with excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Ability to communicate effectively with others using the spoken word and in writing clearly and concisely
Ability to think in such a way as to produce a new concept or idea and to make decisions or take actions to solve a problem or reach a goal
