Hybrid 3 days onsite Richmond, VA (onsite first 60-90 days) - will likely go remote with travel after a few months. 35% travel to client site – plan on one week per month.
Job Description UX Designer
Responsibilities
Translate product requirements and user insights into user flows, information architecture, low & high fidelity designs, and clickable prototypes.
Produce and maintain Figma component libraries, design systems, tokens, and documentation to ensure consistency across the ecosystem.
Work closely with .NET developers to ensure designs are implementable; provide clear specs, CSS/style guidance, and assets.
Conduct usability testing, gather feedback, iterate designs, and measure UX outcomes with analytics and qualitative research.
Advocate for accessibility, performance, and responsive design best practices.
Required Qualifications
3–7 years of UX/product design experience with a proven portfolio showing product and interface work.
Proficient in Figma (components, variants, auto layout, prototyping, design tokens).
Practical experience working with React and .NET application teams and understanding of how design maps to .NET UI frameworks. Experience with Material UI framework.
Strong interaction design skills: user flows, wireframes, prototypes, micro interactions.
Familiarity with HTML/CSS and front end constraints to create realistic, implementable designs.
Experience conducting user research and usability testing; ability to synthesize findings into actionable design decisions.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders.
Nice to have
Experience building or maintaining a design system used by multiple engineering teams.
Exposure to API driven UIs, component libraries in .NET or CSS frameworks.
Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and experience applying them in desktop or web .NET apps.
