Overview Job Title:

Senior Account Manager

This position will be based remotely (working from home).

Summary The Sr. Manager, Client Accounts will have a hands-on role within our Account Management Team. They are responsible for shepherding projects on assigned clients, from project initiation through completion.

Key Responsibilities

Responsible for growing the existing account(s) assigned by identifying new opportunities

Contributes to new business development activities within the account team

Day-to-day client contact (central point of contact)

Manage multiple pharma manufacturer clients

Market/Client Knowledge

Demonstrates ability to think proactively about client strategies and lifecycle management

Stays educated on client therapeutic area, products, strategy, and competitive space

Continues to learn and applies knowledge to reviews of content and demonstrates understanding through internal and client communication

Client Relations

Proactively manages relationship with clients and seeks opportunities to strengthen/build new relationships

Demonstrates interest and aptitude in providing strategic recommendations with client

Ensures client expectations are met on all levels of project and overall account activity by maintaining ongoing communication (written and verbal) with client and account team members

Work with the internal account team to develop detailed and effective plans and monitor all aspects of project lifecycle, including scope, change and delivery

Independently leads and facilitates client status meetings and provides timely follow-up on deliverables

Adapts and navigates with ease whether it's a client process or change in direction on a project

Account Management

Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in verbal and written form with limited to no oversight

Independently identifies when a tactic is not meeting its objectives

Identify and communicate alternate approach to internal team and client

Prepares statements of work (SOW) for new business or new projects

Participates and contributes to brainstorm sessions where new and innovative tactics are designed

Conveys credibility and maintains positive, professional image both internally and externally

Demonstrates solid presentation skills to client audiences

Education

College degree, preferably in marketing, business or science/medicine

Interpersonal/Leadership Skills

Demonstrates excellent verbal, written and oral presentation skills

Anticipates and brings about change as needed; communicates changes in a way that supports buy-in and long-term success

Updates manager on account activity

Ability to establish a positive working relationship with the broader APS team and client base

Professional Skills and Requirements

Experience in an account management role, preferable in managed care pharmacy or pharmaceuticals

Understanding of PBM and health plan payer landscape for managed care pharmacy

Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously

Comfortable in a client-facing role

Proficiency with Microsoft software (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Excellent written and verbal skills

Ability to collaborate and support other APS team members to jointly achieve company and client objectives

Excellent time management skills and ability to meet agreed upon deadlines
