Position Director of Fundraising
Location Remote
Commitment Long-term / flexible hours!
Role Overview --------------------------------------
Professional Qualifications
Progressive experience in fundraising for non‑profits or other related sectors, preferably in the EU
Knowledgeable about outreach, building and maintaining relationships with donors
Ability to construct and implement fundraising plans, including different methods, timelines, objectives, and deliverables
Demonstrated experience managing successful grant applications, especially for young non‑profit organisations
Experienced in project management, task management, and working with diverse and multicultural teams
Experienced working in an online setting and using different online collaboration tools
Personal Qualifications
Proactive with strong leadership skills; takes initiative within the team without waiting for instructions
Passionate about education, knowledge‑sharing, and making a possible impact on marginalised groups
Ability to work remotely across different time zones
Teamwork‑oriented and collaborative, maintaining constructive and respectful professional relationships
Strong communication skills both internally and externally; communicates challenges and bottlenecks effectively; provides and accepts feedback
Aligned with NSDE’s core values
Willingness to learn or demonstrates knowledge and awareness about Afghanistan and the educational and human rights circumstances there (or in similar countries)
Responsibilities
Translating the objectives shared by the board and the executive team into short‑ and long‑term strategies with clear tasks, deadlines, and internal goals for the fundraising team
Proactively managing the Fundraising team, identifying bottlenecks, improving operations, and communicating efficiently with the Board and Executive team
Coordinating weekly meetings, agendas, and progress reports
Ensuring team members have clear tasks, necessary information, and accountability, while offering feedback and managing potential disagreements
