Job Description The Director Finance Central Region will provide financial leadership in Ryder’s Central Region FMS Business Unit. This Finance Director position will lead a team to support profitable growth and industry‑leading customer service by working directly with Operations, Sales and Product leadership. The position reports to the Group Director FMS Finance. REMOTE work from HOME.
Essential Functions
Oversee the overall financial management of all activities within the business unit and work with the Group Finance Director to implement policies, procedures and controls.
Oversee business plan and forecast to ensure accurate and timely reports for use by management throughout the organization.
Provide leadership and capability to reduce costs, improve efficiency and ensure attainment of company business goals.
Drive and deliver transformational change. Challenge the organization’s thinking and drive value‑cost trade‑off opportunities to make fact‑based choices. Educate teams on processes and assume accountabilities for timelines. Lead the development and implementation of best practices and training materials.
Challenge and coordinate cross‑functional stakeholders to align costs with strategic objectives and reduce all costs deemed outside of the objectives.
Engage leadership with recommendations ensuring visibility to ideas and criteria for prioritization.
Additional Responsibilities Performs other duties as assigned.
Education Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Business.
Experience Eight (8) years or more experience in strategic cost management.
Skills
Proven track record of implementing and delivering Zero‑Based Budgeting process and results.
Strong financial acumen and analytical skills.
Solid facilitation and communication skills, be cost conscious and diplomatic.
Ability to work with and lead a cross‑functional team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills are key – influence and ability to lead challenging conversations and change.
Knowledge
Specialized experience in strategic cost management; advanced level.
Experience in developing and championing new processes; expert level.
Experience with the Hyperion Financial Systems; advanced level.
Experience working across multiple cultures and time zones; advanced level.
Travel: 10‑20%
Bonus: 30% target

Pay Type: Salaried
Minimum Pay Range: $130,000
Maximum Pay Range: $150,000
