Electrical Engineering Designer I
to join our
Generation & Energy Management Team
in
Hartford, CT; Albany, NY; or St. Catharines, Ontario . In this role, you'll support the design and development of electrical systems that power manufacturing and advanced technology facilities, contributing to solutions that enhance operational performance, energy efficiency, and long‑term reliability.

What You’ll Do:
Produce and revise simple engineering drawings and sketches for electrical substation and transmission design projects under the guidance of senior designers or engineers, following established technical standards
Examine drawings for accuracy and quality with support from senior team members
Participate in project review meetings and accompany senior staff on field assignments when appropriate
Utilize drawing production software such as AutoCAD and MicroStation to develop construction documents
Assist with contract document preparation to build familiarity with electrical design standards, codes, and best practices supporting energy‑intensive and technology‑driven facilities
What You Bring:
Associate’s Degree in Electrical Technology or a related technical field required
No prior experience required—related document production experience preferred
Experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation is a plus
Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to problem‑solving
Familiarity with design software (AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.) and a willingness to learn about respective engineering discipline

Salary Range: $31.25 - $36.05 USD.
Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
