
Customs Brokerage Supervisor

Seeking an experienced Customs Brokerage Supervisor to oversee a team of 5+ people in our Chicago area office. You must come from
a non-asset based company with experience in international imports (domestic trucking/logistics will not qualify).
Hybrid schedule requires only 1 day a week onsite - 4 days remote. Must be within a driving range to this location.

Supervise, train and coach Entry-Writing/Customs Brokerage staff and distribute workloads among the team. 5-6 people on the team
Measure performance of Entry-Writing staff and address problems and issues
Troubleshoot freight issues with US Customs and other government agencies
Audit files for accuracy and oversee billing process
Establish departmental goals and measure performance by tracking goals
Improve existing procedures and audit work; streamline workflow in the Entry department
Assist with On-boarding new clients
Oversee accuracy of US Customs information on all files
Execute projects assigned by Manager, Customs Brokerage
Keep Customs Brokerage Manager abreast of changes in the department and provide effective support as needed
Desired Skills/Experience:
Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) accreditation required, Licensed Customs Broker preferred
Minimum of 5 years of experience in working with US Customs
Thorough knowledge of US Customs rules and regulations
Personnel supervisory and/or training experience
MUST BE from a non-asset based company with experience in international imports
