Position Overview We are currently seeking an
Electrical Outside Sales Representative
to help build our electrical customer base in the Florida market.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in the electrical distribution, supply, or contractor market and is someone who thrives in a relationship-driven sales environment. They will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with electrical contractors, builders, and industry partners throughout the territory. This role will focus on identifying new business opportunities, growing accounts, and serving as a trusted resource for electrical products and solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain relationships with electrical contractors, builders, and key accounts within the assigned territory
Identify and pursue new business opportunities to grow VP Supply’s electrical customer base
Promote and sell electrical products while positioning VP Supply as a trusted partner for contractors
Maintain strong relationships with vendor partners and stay informed on product offerings and industry trends
Monitor sales activity, market trends, and product performance within the territory
Collaborate with branch teams, inside sales, and operations to ensure a seamless customer experience from quote to delivery
Continuously build product knowledge across VP Supply’s electrical offerings while understanding the broader HVAC and plumbing product lines that support our customers
Qualifications
3+ years of outside sales experience required
Electrical industry experience strongly preferred (electrical distribution, contractor sales, or related field)
Strong relationship-building, communication, and negotiation skills
Proven ability to develop new business and grow existing accounts
Self‑motivated with strong time‑management and organizational skills
Ability to work independently while collaborating with branch teams
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM/order entry systems
Work Environment / Physical Requirements
This role is primarily field based, requiring regular travel to customer locations throughout the territory
Occasional visits to VP Supply branch locations as needed
Use of standard office equipment including computers and mobile communication devices
