Position Overview We are seeking a
Tariff Mitigation Specialist
for a
remote, full-time
assignment supporting our Global Trade and Supply Chain operations. This role will focus on securing documentation for tariff mitigation, managing import data, and ensuring compliance with international trade regulations. The ideal candidate will have a background in
data analytics ,
database management , and
ITC (International Trade Compliance) services , along with experience working with U.S. import systems and trade partners.
Key Responsibilities
Act as a key
Analyst
supporting tariff mitigation and trade compliance initiatives.
Partner with customs brokers (FedEx, UPS, Expeditors, etc.) and suppliers to gather and validate certificates for tariff mitigation.
Conduct research and generate reports using the
U.S. Customs ACE (Automated Commercial Environment)
portal.
Utilize the
U.S. Harmonized Tariff System (HTSUS)
to classify goods and determine applicable tariffs and duties.
Run and analyze import-related system reports to support decision-making and cost reduction.
Serve as a
Database Management Analyst , organizing and maintaining accurate import and trade compliance data.
Extract, analyze, and report on large datasets using
Excel , including pivot tables, filters, and formulas.
Use
SAP
for trade data access, material classification, and entry validation.
Support
ITC Services
by assisting in the review and execution of international trade compliance processes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support audit readiness, data accuracy, and regulatory compliance.
Contribute to continuous improvement and special projects across the trade compliance function.
Required Qualifications
2+ years of experience in
global trade compliance ,
data analysis , or
supply chain operations .
Experience as an
Analyst
in logistics, import/export, or compliance.
Knowledge of U.S. import entry processes and documentation requirements.
Hands-on experience with
ACE ,
HTS classification , and working with customs brokers.
Proficient in
Excel
(pivot tables, filters, VLOOKUP, and basic analytics).
Familiarity with
SAP
or other ERP systems.
Strong understanding of
ITC Services , including regulatory requirements and compliance standards.
Detail‑oriented with solid organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a
manufacturing
or
high‑volume import
environment.
Understanding of duty‑reduction programs (e.g., FTAs, duty drawback).
Previous work supporting
audit
and compliance initiatives.
Working knowledge of global trade software tools and data management platforms.
