Junior Financial Advisor
who is motivated, detail oriented, and excited to build a long-term career in comprehensive financial planning. Position Summary
The Junior Financial Advisor supports senior advisors in delivering high quality planning, investment management, and client service. This role is ideal for someone pursuing the CFP® path and looking to gain hands on experience in a professional, collaborative advisory environment. You will assist with financial plan development, client meeting preparation, investment analysis, and operational workflows while gradually taking on more responsibility with client relationships. While the majority work currently is located in the area of Napa, CA, flexibility in travelling to client meetings in different locales would be valuable. Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Analysis
Assist in building and updating financial plans, retirement projections, and cash flow analyses
Support tax aware planning strategies (Roth conversions, RMD planning, charitable strategies, etc.)
Prepare planning summaries, scenario models, and advisor ready reports
Client Service & Relationship Support
Participate in client meetings; prepare agendas, take notes, and manage follow up tasks
Respond to routine client inquiries with professionalism and accuracy
Maintain proactive, high quality communication with clients
Investment Support
Prepare investment reviews, performance summaries, and allocation updates
Assist with portfolio implementation, rebalancing, and model maintenance
Conduct research on ETFs, mutual funds, and investment strategies
Operations & Compliance
Support account opening, transfers, and custodial paperwork
Maintain accurate CRM records and workflow tracking
Assist with compliance documentation and audit ready recordkeeping
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, or related field
Strong analytical and quantitative skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast paced advisory environment
Possession of FINRA securities licenses (Series 7 and 65/66) OR active progress toward obtaining them
Preferred
Progress toward CFP®, CPA, or other relevant designation
Experience with financial planning software (e.g., eMoney, MoneyGuide)
Familiarity with custodial platforms (Schwab, Fidelity, Axos, etc.)
Exposure to tax preparation or tax planning concepts
