Senior Product Marketing Manager
ExpandIQ, San Francisco, CA, United States
Our client is a Series B healthcare AI platform transforming patient access and provider operations.
The Role We're hiring a
Senior Product Marketing Manager
to own positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategy for a complex B2B SaaS platform sold to healthcare provider organizations. Reporting to the VP of Marketing, you'll be a strategic partner to Product, Sales, and Demand Generation—translating sophisticated AI technology into clear, compelling narratives that resonate with non-technical buyers (COOs, practice managers, clinicians).
This is a high-impact, high-ownership role at a pivotal growth moment. You'll join with significant autonomy and the opportunity to grow alongside the product marketing function as it scales. The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking with hands‑on execution, moves fast, and operates like a GM—not a ticket‑taker.
What You'll Own
Develop and socialize a unified messaging framework that resonates with COOs, practice managers, and clinicians across all GTM motions
Translate complex AI/EHR integration capabilities into clear customer value propositions
Serve as the voice of the market, translating industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitor activity into actionable GTM recommendations
Product Launch & GTM Strategy (25%)
Lead integrated product launches, defining strategy, success metrics, and required assets in partnership with Product, Demand Gen, and Sales
Drive
30%+ of net-new pipeline
through strategic launch execution
Partner with Revenue leadership on pricing, packaging, and monetization strategy to accelerate ARR growth
Own sales enablement strategy: pitch narrative, battlecards, product collateral, objection handling guides
Ensure consistent adoption of positioning and messaging across the revenue team
Create assets that shorten sales cycles and improve win rates
Customer Proof & Storytelling (15%)
Own customer proof strategy: case studies, video testimonials, ROI narratives
Partner with Content Marketing to develop compelling customer stories that
shorten sales cycles by 20%
Build a library of reusable proof points for different buyer personas and use cases
Competitive Intelligence & Market Authority (10%)
Maintain competitive intelligence on AI patient engagement platforms, EHR-integrated solutions, and healthcare workflow automation
Develop and maintain competitive battlecards and positioning against key competitors
Act as internal expert on healthcare market dynamics, buyer behavior, and regulatory landscape
What You Bring Required:
5–8+ years of B2B SaaS product marketing experience , including ownership of positioning and GTM strategy for complex products sold to non-technical buyers
Experience at notable, reputable, high-growth startups/companies
(healthcare tech, legal tech, or AI platforms strongly preferred)
Proven ability to execute in early-stage or fast-moving environments
with the ability to influence senior stakeholders across Product, Sales, and Marketing
Exceptional storytelling and executive-level communication skills —written, verbal, and visual
Strong technical fluency : Ability to translate product complexity into clear customer value and confidently engage with both technical and revenue audiences
Working knowledge of marketing and analytics platforms
(HubSpot, Marketo, GA, Looker) and basic design tools (Slides, Figma)
Willingness to work in‑person in San Francisco 3 days/week
Strongly Preferred:
Experience in
healthcare tech
(provider organizations, EHR ecosystems, regulated markets) or
applied AI platforms
Built a
0→1 product marketing function
from the ground up
Owned
sales enablement strategy
(battlecards, pitch narrative, collateral) at a SaaS company
Experience marketing
sales‑led growth (SLG)
products with complex, multi-stakeholder buying processes
Not a Fit:
Background exclusively in highly technical domains (cloud‑native infrastructure, security platforms)
Career exclusively at very large companies (Google, Microsoft, etc.) without startup experience
Primarily demand generation or growth marketing background (we need a product marketer first)
