
Business Intelligence Analyst - Product Lifecycle Management (PLM)

We are seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst to support Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) reporting within an enterprise Data & Analytics organization. This role partners closely with product, operations, and technology stakeholders to design and deliver high-impact operational and transactional insights. The ideal candidate blends strong technical BI expertise with the ability to translate complex product data into clear, actionable reporting.

Pay Range
up to $121K base salary + annual bonus + profit sharing bonus + 401k + pension

Roles & Responsibilities
Partner with PLM functional and technical teams to understand end-to-end product lifecycle processes and translate business needs into reporting solutions
Elicit, document, and refine reporting requirements through stakeholder collaboration and iterative feedback cycles
Design, build, test, and deploy operational and transactional dashboards and reports supporting product development, change management, and product data governance
Own PLM reporting initiatives, proactively identifying opportunities to improve transparency, automation, and data quality across product processes
Troubleshoot, enhance, and maintain existing BI assets, ensuring accuracy, performance, and alignment with evolving business requirements
Ensure reporting solutions meet performance expectations and incorporate automation where appropriate (scheduled delivery, bursting, or event-based distribution)
Develop analyses and dashboards using PLM-related subject areas with a focus on usability, scalability, and performance
Create intuitive filters, prompts, and drill-through functionality to support both standard and ad-hoc analysis
Configure scheduled delivery and automated distribution of reports and dashboards
Build and optimize BI data models using complex SQL across PLM and related enterprise data sources
Develop formatted reports aligned to product structures, engineering changes, and development milestones
Tune queries and reporting solutions to ensure reliable performance on small-to-medium data sets
Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
4+ years of experience designing and developing within a business intelligence/reporting tool like OTBI, BI Publisher, Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE), Oracle Analytics Server, or Oracle Analytics Cloud
4+ years of experience designing and delivering solutions within enterprise BI and reporting platforms in support of Product Lifecycle Management reporting and analytics use cases
Strong ability to gather technical and business requirements and own BI solutions from concept through production
Experience facilitating discussions, leading working sessions, or coordinating delivery efforts across teams
Proven analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
Clear, confident written and verbal communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences
Authorization to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship
Preferred Skills & Experience
Advanced SQL expertise, including analytical and window functions
Prior exposure to cloud-based PLM platforms and their underlying data models (e.g., item master, BOMs, engineering changes)
Experience with SQL performance tuning and optimization
Working knowledge of data governance, master data management, or product data stewardship practices
