Senior Custom Closet Designer
Job Overview: We are looking for a high-energy, detail-oriented Custom Closet Designer with a proven track record in the industry. In this role, you will act as both a creative expert and a consultant, transforming client needs into beautiful, functional storage solutions for closets, pantries, home offices, and more. You will manage projects from the initial in-home consultation through the final design presentation, ensuring a seamless bridge between client vision and installation.
Key Responsibilities
Client Consultations:
Conduct in-home or virtual consultations to assess storage needs, lifestyle goals, and budget constraints.
Custom Design:
Create innovative 2D and 3D renderings using our best-in-industry software. Paid training is available during the ramp-up phase.
Sales & Proposals:
Present design proposals, select materials and finishes, and manage your sales pipeline to meet or exceed monthly targets.
Technical Precision:
Take precise site measurements and account for obstacles like wall outlets or access panels to ensure error-free installations.
Collaboration:
Partner with production and installation teams to ensure the final product meets design specifications and client expectations.
Requirements & Qualifications
Industry Experience:
Minimum of 2–5 years of experience in custom closet design.
Software Proficiency:
Advanced skills in closet design software such as Cabinet Vision, ClosetPro, or similar CAD-based platforms.
Sales Track Record:
Proven ability to close deals in a consultative, B2C environment.
Attention to Detail:
Meticulous approach to measurements and material specifications to minimize rework.
Professionalism:
Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple high-value projects simultaneously.
Reliability:
Must have a valid driver’s license and dependable transportation for client site visits.
Growth & Business Development (Proactive Approach)
Lead Generation Bonus: Earn an additional 2% commission on all self-generated leads and new business acquisitions.
Professional Networking: Actively build and maintain partnerships with interior designers, realtors, and luxury home builders to create a recurring referral pipeline.
Community Presence: Represent the brand at home shows, local networking events, and industry mixers to capture high-value prospects.
Strategic Prospecting: Identify and pursue opportunities in high-growth residential developments and renovation hubs.
