Veradermics is a dermatologist-founded, late clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on developing innovative therapeutics to address pervasive treatment challenges in highly prevalent aesthetic and dermatological conditions.
In October 2025, Veradermics announced the closing of an oversubscribed $150 million Series C financing with top-tier healthcare investors. The financing will enable Veradermics to advance the development of our lead candidate, VDPHL01, as an oral, non-hormonal treatment for men and women with pattern hair loss (PHL). Position Overview The Director of Human Resources will develop, coordinate and implement the policies and operations of the human resource (HR) function, ensuring legal compliance and building and operating scalable HR systems that enable execution, accountability, and business performance.
The Director of Human Resources will partner closely with the Vice President of Human Resources, CFO, and General Counsel to ensure the company's HR infrastructure scales effectively alongside commercialization milestones and organizational growth.
HR Operations, Systems & Compliance
Execute end‑to‑end employee lifecycle processes (onboarding, offboarding, documentation, compliance)
Assess, recommend and manage HR systems, ensuring configuration integrity, approvals, and audit readiness
Ensure compliance with federal, state and local employment laws across a multi‑state workforce (I‑9, E‑Verify, employment documentation), applying best practices
Establish disciplined controls, documentation, and governance
Act as a thought partner to update corporate policies and procedures
Compensation, Payroll, Benefits Oversight
Partner with Finance to design and evolve compensation, leveling, equity, and bonus frameworks
Partner with key stakeholders to benchmark new and evolving roles
Provide governance oversight for salary adjustments and off‑cycle payroll activity
Oversee benefits implementation with external broker support
Maintain data integrity across payroll, HRIS, and financial systems
Talent Systems, Hiring Governance & Workforce Planning
Assist with developing job architecture, leveling frameworks, interview standards, and offer approval processes
Partner with Finance to reconcile hiring plans to workforce and budget models
Assist with hiring governance, internal equity, and quality standards
Coordinate with external recruiting providers
Employee Relations & Risk Management
Serve as a key point of contact for employee relations matters, applying sound judgment, consistency, and discretion
Ensure required compliance training (e.g., anti‑harassment, cybersecurity, etc.) is appropriately assigned, completed, and tracked
Partner with key stakeholders and legal counsel on complex or sensitive employee issues
Establish and ensure HR policies and practices protect the company while enabling high performance and clear expectations.
Candidate Profile | Who You Are
5+ years of progressive HR leadership experience
Prior experience with a proven track record as an HR contributor or manager in a scaling biotech or life sciences organization is preferred
Demonstrated experience scaling from early‑stage (~20–50 employees) through commercialization or significant growth
Strong preference for candidates who have supported public company transition or operated in a publicly traded biotech environment

Salary and Benefits Veradermics provides a comprehensive compensation package that includes a base salary, annual performance bonus eligibility, and access to the employee stock option plan.
