Project Scope We are seeking a Director of Financial Applications to lead and oversee technology supporting healthcare financial operations, including revenue cycle and enterprise resource planning systems. This role will drive strategic initiatives, optimize application performance, and ensure alignment between technology solutions and organizational financial and operational goals.
Position Summary The Director of Financial Applications is responsible for leadership, strategy, and operational oversight of financial systems including Revenue Cycle Management and ERP platforms. This role ensures effective system utilization across functions such as billing, collections, general ledger, budgeting, human capital management, and supply chain. The Director partners closely with business leaders and IT teams to drive innovation, optimize workflows, and enhance operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee financial application portfolio including revenue cycle systems and ERP platforms (budgeting, HR/payroll, general ledger, and supply chain).
Lead, hire, mentor, and develop a high‑performing financial applications team.
Provide strategic leadership for technology planning, system optimization, and process improvement initiatives.
Partner with stakeholders to maximize application utilization and improve operational workflows.
Evaluate and implement emerging technologies, including AI capabilities, to support operational efficiency.
Drive alignment between business needs and application functionality across departments.
Maintain strong relationships with vendors and partners to stay current on industry trends and innovations.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA, cybersecurity requirements, and organizational policies.
Lead development of service policies, procedures, and operational standards.
Participate in cross‑functional committees, teams, and organizational initiatives.
Analyze complex data sets to support strategic decision‑making, budgeting, and forecasting.
Provide leadership in workflow design, implementation, and optimization.
Communicate effectively with executive leadership, stakeholders, and team members.

Familiarity with AI technologies and their application in healthcare IT environments.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
Strong understanding of healthcare compliance requirements including HIPAA and cybersecurity standards.
Experience with workflow design, system integration, and operational optimization.

Ability to work independently and in a team‑oriented environment.
Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed to support operational and technical requirements.
Ability to sit for extended periods and utilize computer systems and communication tools.
