We are conducting a

confidential search

for a high-impact

Director of Operations

to oversee a large, multi-unit fast-casual Mexican restaurant portfolio. This is a senior leadership role for a driven, people-first operator who thrives in the field, leads with clarity and accountability, and consistently delivers strong financial and guest experience results.

This role partners closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to translate strategy into execution while building a scalable, high-performing operational organization.

What You’ll Do

Provide overall leadership and operational direction for

20+ fast-casual Mexican QSR locations

Lead, coach, and develop Multi-Unit / District Managers to build a strong leadership bench

Translate company strategy into day-to-day execution of brand, food safety, and guest experience standards

Drive sales, profitability, and operational excellence across assigned markets

Monitor and improve key performance indicators including labor, food cost, margins, and guest satisfaction

Conduct routine operational gap analysis and implement corrective action plans

Support new restaurant openings, growth initiatives, and market expansion

Partner with senior leadership on long-term organizational strategy and operational planning

Present data-driven business cases for operational improvements and initiatives

Build strong local market strategies through community partnerships and trade-area initiatives

Ensure consistent execution of recruiting, hiring, training, performance management, and succession planning

What We’re Looking For

5+ years of progressive QSR or fast-casual leadership experience

(Mexican or similar concept preferred)

Proven success leading large, multi-unit restaurant operations (20+ units; larger portfolios a plus)

Strong financial acumen with P&L ownership and data-driven decision-making

Track record of developing senior operators and building high-performing teams

Experience partnering cross-functionally with development, HR, marketing, and training

Exceptional communication, presentation, and influence skills

Self-starter with a results-driven, growth-oriented mindset

Willingness to be

field-based with frequent travel

within the assigned market

Valid driver’s license and ability to work flexible schedules, including occasional evenings and weekends
