
Senior Analyst, Scalable Marketing Measurement Analytics

Role Summary/Purpose
The Senior Analyst, Scalable Marketing Measurement Analytics will support the Scalable Marketing Measurement Team in driving key initiatives and projects related to Marketing Campaign Performance, building enterprise-wide dashboards and other tools, and providing ad hoc analysis as required. This role will be responsible for preparing dashboards, performing data validation, and evaluating feedback received with the goal of incorporating scalable marketing solution enhancements that enable users to gain valuable insights.
Essential Responsibilities
Assist the Scalable Marketing Measurement team in driving adoption of tools and capabilities related to Campaign Performance
Maintain dashboards and tools that the team owns, develop a flexible structure that can be leveraged for client/portfolio specific data, and validate data accuracy and completeness
Engage with third‑party partners to integrate, automate, and standardize data feeds, and validate data for accuracy and competence
Provide support to Portfolio Marketers and Analytics to understand performance metrics for marketing campaigns, and give guidance on campaign design as required
Work across multiple time zones, collaborating cross‑functionally with onshore and offshore teams
Use Synchrony Project Management tools such as Kanban board to track progress and timelines for all tasks within the team
Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor’s degree and 1+ years of analytics experience; OR in lieu of a degree, a high school diploma and 4+ years of analytics experience
Experience to include:
1+ years of experience in an analytics role
1+ years of experience in data visualization and storytelling utilizing tools such as Tableau or another data visualization tool
1+ years of experience with statistical tools such as SAS, SQL, R, or Python
1+ years of experience querying and analyzing large amounts of data
Desired Characteristics
Analytics experience with a marketing focus such as campaigns
Bachelor’s degree in STEM or a related quantitative field
Retail or financial services, credit card, or payments industry experience
The ideal candidate must think quantitatively and analytically as well as creatively
Strong experience with SQL, Python, and SAS – ability to perform ETL processes
Experience with cloud‑based analytical tools (AWS, Azure, etc.)
Proficient in data visualization using Tableau and Microsoft PowerPoint, with a strong understanding of best practices when visualizing data
Ability to clearly explain technical and analytical information (verbally, in writing, and in presentation form) and summarize for key stakeholders
Understanding of credit card and consumer finance industry dynamics, as well as P&L metrics and definitions
Manage offshore team resources
Strong analytic and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Ability to provide end‑to‑end analytic support, including pulling data, preparing analysis, interpreting data, and making strategic recommendations
Familiarity with how marketing campaigns work and how they are measured across different channels, portfolios, and types
Grade/Level: 09 Salary range: $60,000.00 – $112,000.00 per year, with eligibility for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance. Compensation within the posted range will be based on experience, skill level, and knowledge. Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro, and Seattle.

You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation, and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process

New hires (Levels 4–7) must have nine months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum of six months’ time in position before posting for future non‑exempt roles. Employees at Level 8 or greater must have at least 18 months in position before posting. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from their manager to post (or approval from both manager and HR if the time in position or performance expectations are not met)
