
Engagement Associate

The Engagement Associate supports the Jewish Federation of Greater Nashville’s efforts to build and sustain meaningful relationships across the Jewish community. Reporting to the Chief Impact Officer, this role advances engagement as a primary mechanism for connecting constituents across geographic, affiliation, and generational lines.
Working collaboratively across departments and partner organizations, the Engagement Associate helps identify community needs, reach under-engaged populations, and support the implementation of initiatives, programs, and events that strengthen participation, leadership development, and a sense of belonging. This role plays a key part in positioning the Federation as a central entry point and convener within Jewish Nashville’s vibrant and evolving community ecosystem.

Strategic Planning & Execution
Lead the strategic planning, development, and execution of engagement initiatives and programs that foster participation across diverse community segments, including Young Adults (NowGen), Newcomers and Welcome Ambassadors, Additional Affiliated and Community groups, and more. Build systems and processes to ensure consistent, scalable engagement. Partner with community organizations to coordinate joint initiatives and collaborative programming. Develop and execute a fundraising strategy aligned with the organization’s engagement efforts. Manage digital communications related to engagement initiatives. Outreach & Engagement
Build and maintain relationships with community members, volunteers, and partner organizations to strengthen engagement and belonging. Identify emerging community needs through data analysis, feedback, and collaboration, translating insights into actionable programming and outreach strategies. Serve as a primary connector, responding to community inquiries and facilitating meaningful introductions and pathways for involvement. Act as a liaison for newcomers and community groups, providing guidance and connecting them to resources. Program & Event Planning
Plan and execute programs and events across community segments. Manage logistics, timelines, communications, and program evaluation. Coordinate Federation participation in community-wide initiatives, festivals, and partnerships. Recruit, support, and manage volunteers and lay leaders across engagement areas. Partner with volunteer boards and committees to develop programming and strengthen leadership pipelines. Manage young adult communication channels, including the NowGen newsletter, social media platforms, and WhatsApp groups. Maintain communications with volunteer committee members and affiliated groups. Note on Evolving Priorities
