National Accounts Business Development Manager
Sealed Air is seeking a high-impact National Accounts Business Development Manager (BDM) to join our Protective Packaging team. This is a strategic, high-visibility "hunter" role focused on identifying, pursuing, and securing net new business across enterprise-level and high-potential accounts. The BDM will play a pivotal role in driving growth by bringing Sealed Air's differentiated solutions to customers in industrial packaging and adjacent sectors. Key Responsibilities: Drive New Customer Acquisition: Proactively identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities across targeted verticals and enterprise customers. C-Suite Engagement: Build relationships and lead high-level discussions with senior decision-makers to understand business needs and align Sealed Air's value proposition. Strategic Pipeline Development: Build and manage a healthy pipeline that sustains a minimum of 3X the annual growth goal, using a mix of self-sourced leads and company-generated insights. Consultative Selling: Uncover customer challenges and align solutions that combine Sealed Air's packaging technologies, services, and sustainability-focused innovations. Cross-Functional Leadership: Orchestrate internal and external stakeholders across engineering, product, marketing, and sales to ensure seamless execution from opportunity to close. Performance Accountability: Consistently exceed sales targets, strategic objectives, and MBOs as defined by the division leader. Tool & Budget Stewardship: Efficiently utilize CRM, prospecting tools, and manage travel/expense budgets to maximize ROI. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree (Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field) or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. 3+ years of B2B sales or business development experience, with a strong preference for experience in: Industrial packaging, automation, materials, or logistics. Selling to complex, matrixed organizations. Developing greenfield opportunities from scratch. Managing long sales cycles with multiple stakeholders. Proven ability to: Build executive-level relationships and drive strategic conversations. Navigate and influence within complex customer environments. Drive deals from discovery through negotiation and contract closure. Deliver compelling value propositions tailored to customer-specific pain points. Strong Business Acumen: Ability to translate technical solutions into business outcomes. Excellent Communication: Outstanding verbal, written, and presentation skills. Self-Starter: Highly motivated, organized, and results driven. Able to set priorities and work independently.
