Director Health Systems Sales – CuraScript SD – Hybrid Join Evernorth Health Services as a Director Health Systems Sales. This role will lead a Sales Manager and a team of Account Managers and Business Development Managers, driving the continued development and growth of the strategic health systems segment.

Job Summary The Director Health Systems Sales will be instrumental in expanding our Health System Offering, driving innovation, and accelerating revenue growth across Hospitals and Integrated Delivery Networks (IDNs). This position replaces the existing Senior Manager role, elevating the strategic focus and emphasizing enterprise collaboration, consultative selling, and market expansion. The ideal candidate will bring a strong blend of strategic vision, operational execution, and relationship management to lead efforts in the hospital and health system space.

As a Director, you will collaborate with key account managers and sales leadership to develop sales strategies for large/national accounts, identify target accounts, and increase market share in the non‑acute space. You will build and sustain trusted relationships with pharmacy leaders, health system executives, and procurement teams, serving as a strategic advisor to clients and delivering tailored solutions.

Strategic Sales Leadership

Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies targeting hospitals and IDNs.

Identify emerging market trends and translate insights into actionable growth initiatives.

Lead cross‑functional strategic planning efforts to align sales goals with broader Evernorth HSS objectives.

Monitor competitive activity in each account and ensure that appropriate response strategies are formulated and communicated.

Compile reports on customer retention, business opportunity, and market trends for senior management.

Set goals, expectations, and develop future strategies to maintain and enhance the quality of support the team provides.

Implement and execute strategies within the department, exercising creativity, foresight, and judgment in conceiving, planning, and delivering initiatives.

Internal Collaboration & Stakeholder Alignment

Partner across Evernorth, Carepath, Verity, Shields, Finance, Business Development, and Operations to ensure seamless execution and alignment.

Recognized internally as a subject matter expert.

Essential Functions

Manage day‑to‑day activities of a sales team: assist with hiring, monitor performance, develop and mentor team members, conduct annual reviews, and reward achievements.

Oversee execution of team and cross‑functional projects, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and value.

Develop policies and procedures to document process improvement efforts, ensuring product focus, pricing consistency, and best practices.

Support Sales Directors and Strategic Relationship Directors on bid quotes, GPO collaboration, RFPs, contracting, and new client implementation.

Communicate with sales reps and prospects to drive business; guide client communication, organize quarterly review meetings, and identify training opportunities.

Ensure effective rollout of new process improvements, develop and maintain training materials, and conduct new hire training sessions.

Maintain data integrity in the Salesforce system, identifying opportunities to improve accuracy and branding compliance.

Qualifications

8+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or 5+ years of experience and a Master’s degree, or 11–14 years of relevant experience.

Proficiency in MS Office and database management.

Knowledge of the Strategic Sales segment and the suite of products impacting PBM, specialty pharmacy, and/or healthcare services.

Understanding of market influences, competitive standings, pricing approaches, sales techniques, and resources for success.

Ability to drive collaborative efforts within CuraScript and the Cigna umbrella of businesses.

Excellent organizational, leadership, and team‑building skills; proven ability to manage projects against deadlines, multitask, and work collaboratively.

About CuraScript SD CuraScript SD provides integrated delivery solutions for the safe and efficient distribution of specialty pharmaceuticals and ancillary support products. With over 25 years in the specialty distribution business, we supply biologics, branded drugs, generics, vaccines, infused medications, and supportive care products to a wide range of medical providers, including physicians, infusion centers, acute care treatment centers, and long‑term care facilities.

This role is hybrid and requires in‑person work. Ideal candidates will reside in Lake Mary/Orlando, FL; St. Louis, MO; Plano/Dallas, TX; or Chicago, IL. If working remotely, a cable broadband or fiber optic connection with at least 10 Mbps download / 5 Mbps upload is required.

Salary range: $153,600 – $256,000 USD per year, depending on experience and geographic location. The role also offers eligibility for an annual bonus and long‑term incentive plan.
