Overview
We are seeking a customer-focused, bilingual (Japanese/English) service agent to join our remote support team for a 1-year contract. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys helping others, and is fluent in both Japanese and English. You will be responsible for handling customer inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a high level of satisfaction across various communication channels. Base pay range
$25.00/hr - $27.00/hr Key Responsibilities
Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and chat in both Japanese and English Provide accurate information regarding products, services, and policies Troubleshoot and resolve customer issues efficiently and empathetically Document interactions and escalate complex issues when necessary Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless customer support Maintain performance metrics including response time, resolution rate, and customer satisfaction Qualifications
Fluent in Japanese and English (spoken and written) 3-5 years of customer service experience (remote experience preferred) Strong communication and problem-solving skills Comfortable working independently and managing time effectively Tech-savvy with proficiency in CRM systems and support platforms Must be available to work the 4 p.m. to 1 a.m. PT shift, including weekends or holidays as needed Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting Japanese customers or working in a bilingual environment Familiarity with e-commerce, SaaS, or tech support Knowledge of cultural nuances in Japanese customer service Job details
