My client, a boutique private equity firm is looking for a Tax Accountant to join their expanding team to handle internal fund accounting and tax accounting responsibilities. Our client works on a hybrid basis in downtown Chicago, offers competitive compensation, comprehensive health, PTO and retirement benefits.
Responsibilities
Preparation of financial statements processing investments, and monthly bank reconciliations
Preparing and supporting quarterly close process
Assisting the internal Tax Specialist with all tax deadlines and filings
Assisting with internal financial audit
Calculating capital calls and distribution
Interacting with investment teams and preparing investor correspondence when needed
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance, CPA is a plus
Experience with Private Equity, Private Credit, Venture Capital, or Hedge Funds is necessary
At least 2-6 years of experience in financial service industry, fund administration, or public accounting firm.
Proficient in Microsoft Office
