
Senior Director of Sales and Marketing

The Senior Director of Sales & Marketing provides strategic leadership and oversight for all sales, marketing, communications, and special events functions at OWA Parks & Resort. This role is responsible for driving attendance, revenue, and brand growth across the resort, its owned companies, and tenant businesses through integrated strategies, strong leadership, and cross‑functional collaboration.
Serving as a senior advisor to property leadership, the Senior Director aligns departmental strategy with business objectives, oversees key budgets, and ensures that sales, marketing, and events efforts operate cohesively to support OWA’s position as a premier regional destination.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field required; master’s degree preferred
Minimum fifteen (15) years of progressive leadership experience, with at least seven (7) years in a senior‑level role overseeing sales and marketing within a hospitality, entertainment, or tourism business
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, project management systems, and marketing software platforms is required
Strong executive leadership skills with the ability to guide teams and influence cross‑functional stakeholders
Experience coordinating relationships with creative agencies, marketing vendors, and public relations firms, including contract oversight and project management
Proven experience managing large budgets and complex, multi‑channel initiatives
Excellent communication, strategic planning, and decision‑making abilities
Ability to operate effectively in a fast‑paced, event‑driven environment
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed to support major events, launches, or business needs
Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills
Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
Some overnight travel required
