Summary

Inside Sales Engineer for our subsidiary, Thermal Corporation, a manufacturer of Custom Air Handler Units. The successful candidate will interact with our Houston management team and be the direct line of communication to our sales representative network. The Inside Sales Engineer will be a key player in growing the Thermal Corp business and improving the customer experience.

Duties and Responsibilities

Facilitate, prepare, and execute all aspects of the sales cycle from RFQ to delivery with a specific focus on Custom Air Handler Units.

Provide immediate first response to all quality related inquiries and reports from customers.

Participate in representative and engineering training sessions.

Build rapport with the Sales Rep network and develop customer relationships to become a dependable resource to assist the Sales Representatives.

Understand the functionality of Air Handler Units and the components utilized to build a complete unit.

Prepare project quotations requested from our field sales groups in accordance with defined pricing strategies, present quotation to customer, and upon acceptance provide technical document submittals as required.

Promote Thermal Corporation as a partner to provide solutions for new applications.

Ensure customer satisfaction by managing the entire sales process and the relationship between Thermal and our partners and customers.

Deliver sales presentations and collect information about the customer to assist in the development of marketing plans and sales strategies to increase sales.

Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, engineering technology, or related technical field (preferred).

Some prior commercial HVAC systems experience preferred; involvement across areas such as engineering, installation/start‑up, maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, technical sales, or customer service is a plus.

Demonstrated knowledge of commercial HVAC control systems.

Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical plans, schedules, technical drawings, and contract specifications.

Specific Skills Requirements

Demonstrated computer-based skills.

Familiarity with CAD software (a plus).

Physical Demands

Move, transport and handle equipment as necessary at trade shows, lab testing or for presentations. Ability to carry luggage for travel.
