JR165963**San Jacinto Valley is Hiring an Activities Assistant!****Pay:** $17.48–$18.00 per hour (DOE)**Position Summary:**

San Jacinto Valley is seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Activities Assistant to support the planning and implementation of engaging programs that enhance the quality of life for our residents. This role focuses on promoting social interaction, independence, and overall well-being through meaningful activities tailored to individual needs and interests.**Duties and Responsibilities:*** Plan and facilitate individual and group activities that align with residents’ functional levels, needs, and interests, including cultural and religious preferences.* Support residents’ personal routines, choices, and preferences while addressing their concerns with empathy and respect.* Communicate effectively with the Activities Director, supervisors, and care team regarding resident participation and needs.* Provide in-room and bedside activities for residents who are bed-bound or unable to attend group programs, incorporating lifelong interests such as music, reading, and social interaction.* Assist residents during activities as needed to encourage engagement and participation.* Adapt activities to residents’ cognitive and physical abilities using techniques such as task segmentation, verbal cueing, setup assistance, and demonstrations.* Assist in developing and distributing monthly activity calendars to residents and posting them on units.* Maintain a safe environment by identifying and reporting potential hazards, including housekeeping or maintenance concerns.* Ensure activity areas are clean, organized, and welcoming, with proper storage of supplies and equipment.* Perform additional duties as assigned.**Requirements and Qualifications:*** Current CNA license required* CPR certification preferred* Strong interpersonal and communication skills* Passion for working with seniors and enhancing resident engagement**Benefits:*** Dental insurance* Paid time off**Equal Employment Opportunity Statement:**
