Our kind and discrete Bay Area-based Private Client is seeking an
Assistant Property Manager
to support seamless operations and maintenance across multiple homes. These properties are made up of a diverse portfolio of residences across the Bay Area, from urban homes to coastal retreats. The ideal individual is kind, warm, and a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys working both independently and collaboratively, and is comfortable balancing day-to-day care with vendor coordination and project management. The APM will report directly to the Director of Properties and principals. Responsibilities
Conduct weekly walk-throughs, inspections, and property checks (interior/exterior) Manage household inventory, manuals, and vendor records Complete very basic small repairs and schedule vendors when needed Ensure homes are always “party ready”; assist with occasional set up/breakdown of events Provide hands‑on support - anything to assist principals; moving furniture, doing laundry, cleaning, etc. Communicate updates clearly to the manager and principals Handle administrative tasks and attend all meetings - work closely with property team and the Family Office Requirements
3+ years’ experience in property management, hospitality, facilities, or a related field (private estate experience a plus) Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent communication skills; ability to “read the room” and adjust tone/style Comfortable lifting up to 40 lbs and accessing attics, basements, and roofs Handy with basic repair skills; familiarity with household/property systems and set up Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation Tech‑savvy with smart home systems and basic office tools (calendar, email, text) Not afraid to get dirty (ie., work outside in rain/heat, trap and/or dispose of a dead mouse, etc.) Dog‑friendly! Must have verifiable references and a clean background check Schedule
Monday‑Friday, 8a‑5p (with some flexibility to work after hours/weekends when needed) Compensation
