Summary About the job: Answers telephone, interacts with customers, and records information on a computer for customer service by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Answer customer calls to process prescription orders and handle inquiries about billing, order status, delivery, and other information
Provide product information, product literature, and customer order status
Call patients for their monthly refills or clarification on orders, e.g., address or birth date
Receive and process prescriptions via fax, mail and eRx
Verify and/or update the accuracy of patient information, i.e., address, allergies, etc.
Ensure security of Protected Health Information as per HIPAA requirements
Process payment: credit card; when appropriate
Understand the different states’ regulations
Create a refill request via fax or eRx
May serve as a role model for the purposes of training new personnel
Maintain a clean, orderly work environment

Qualified Candidates Will Have
Must be willing to take and pass New Jersey Pharmacy certification within 90 days of employment.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
At least one-year related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Strong communication skills, be organized, and detail oriented
Intermediate computer skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
Enthusiastic, professional, and self‑directed interest
