
RV Parts Specialist

RV service and RV collision operations . The shop operates with a strong focus on
process, quality repairs, and teamwork
between departments. Leadership is hands‑on, decisions are made locally, and all departments work closely together to keep jobs moving efficiently.
Position Summary The RV Parts Manager / Parts Specialist is responsible for managing the full parts process for both RV service and RV collision operations. This role directly impacts workflow, repair accuracy, and cycle time by ensuring parts are ordered correctly, received on time, and staged properly for technicians.
This is a hands‑on, detail‑driven role requiring strong communication with technicians, service advisors, and estimators.
Key Responsibilities Parts Ordering & Accuracy
Source and order all RV service and RV collision parts accurately and on time
Review repair estimates and technician notes to confirm parts requirements
Verify part numbers, fitment, and quantities prior to ordering
Identify alternative sourcing options when parts are delayed or unavailable
Receiving, Returns & Credits
Inspect inbound shipments for accuracy and freight damage
Mirror match parts for accuracy
Document damage and initiate freight claims as needed
Process returns and track credits to completion
Ensure credits are properly received and applied
Workflow & Coordination
Confirm all parts are received and distributed to technicians in a timely manner
Stage parts to specific service or collision jobs
Notify shop foreman, service advisors and estimators of parts delays
Post parts invoices daily and file accurately by job type
Participate in morning release meeting and provide relevant updates as needed
Vendor & Purchasing
Maintain vendor relationships and follow up on order status
Seek competitive pricing and available discounts
Ensure invoices are coded correctly to the appropriate RO or job
Required Experience
Experience in RV service, RV collision, or RV dealership parts
Experience managing high‑value, long‑lead‑time parts
Ability to work from estimates, measurements, and technician notes
Strong organizational and follow‑up skills
