Core Job Functions
Conduct research on specific areas of study as assigned.
Prepare research reports and technical papers for publishing.
Investigate the feasibility of applying a wide variety of scientific principles and theories.
Maintain substantial knowledge of state‑of‑the‑art principles and theories.
Develop advanced analytical models and systems and provide solutions and analyses to support strategic and tactical decisions.
Adhere to university and unit‑level policies and procedures and safeguard university assets.
Department Specific Functions
Support research activities at the university and work under the direction of a principal investigator, program director, or designee.
Carry out research duties with creativity and latitude under direct supervision.
Maintain an overview of relevant research findings.
Prepare reports of research results for public presentation through seminars and conferences.
Collect and analyze data as requested.
Maintain appropriate databases and ensure accurate written and computerized records.
Undertake literature searches for the research project and interpret and present the findings to advise the research team.
Keep up to date with subject‑related and professional issues, particularly developments in the specific subject area.
Ensure all research is undertaken according to good research practice and guidance.
Contribute to extramural proposals, publications, and presentations relevant to the specific area of research.
Qualifications CORE QUALIFICATIONS Education:
MD or Ph.D. in a relevant field.
Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes:
Recent highly motivated doctoral graduate with strong laboratory experience in molecular and cell biology techniques.
Experience in stem cell immunoselection and characterization, exosome purification and characterization, 3D organoid culture techniques, RNAi techniques, DNA/RNA purification and quantitative RT‑PCR, ELISA, flow cytometry and immunohistochemistry.
Skill in collecting, organizing and analyzing data.
Ability to recognize, analyze and solve a variety of problems.
Ability to exercise sound judgment in making critical decisions.
Experience:
Previous experience with animal model experiments.
Strong knowledge of stem cell biology and immunology.
Skill in collecting, organizing and analyzing data.
Ability to recognize, analyze and solve a variety of problems.
Ability to exercise sound judgment in making critical decisions.
