Social Media Video Producer, Community Engagement
Boston University's award-winning External Affairs division seeks a Social Media Video Producer. The individual will report to the Director of Social Media and is a member of the Public Relations Social Media team. The Social Media Video Producer will be responsible for creating engaging and compelling social media video content that aligns with Boston University's brand and social media strategy, drives engagement, highlights the university's strategic priorities and institutional values, and increases brand awareness. Responsibilities
Collaborate closely with the Director of Social Media and other PR Social team members to develop and execute content that drives engagement. Film videos on smartphones and professional cameras. Edit videos using Adobe Premiere Pro and Final Cut Pro, optimizing content for maximum engagement on platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, and YouTube Shorts. Required Skills
Strong storytelling skills and the ability to create compelling narratives. Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro and Final Cut Pro. Experience filming videos on smartphones and professional cameras. Familiarity with social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, and YouTube Shorts. Knowledge of social media trends and best practices. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Comfortable appearing and speaking in front of the camera. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under tight deadlines. SEO skills are a plus. Salary and Location
Grade 45 – $48,075.00 to $60,625.00. Location: Boston, MA.
