
Corporate Events Specialist

Role Purpose
The Corporate Events team is a group of event professionals who use project management and customer service to plan best‑in‑class events that support the company’s initiatives. In this role, you will work with leaders to design, plan, execute, and follow up on corporate events of various formats (virtual, hybrid, or in‑person).
Key Responsibilities
Plan and execute assigned corporate events in alignment with established policies and processes, ensuring customer expectations are met or exceeded.
Oversee all aspects of event logistics, including planning, onsite execution, and post‑event follow‑up.
Collaborate with internal and external partners (Corporate Food Services, Media Services, IT, Global Security, Corporate Aviation, venues such as the Corning Museum of Glass) to deliver high‑quality events.
Manage travel arrangements for assigned events.
Administer event budgets effectively to maximize value.
Build and maintain professional relationships with customers and vendors.
Coordinate with procurement, manage existing suppliers, and negotiate contracts with vendors.
Contribute to departmental time tracking and metrics to drive process improvement.
Utilize M365 to develop and manage event registration tools, onsite apps, and other deliverables.
Use department technology platforms (SharePoint, room scheduling tools) to manage event‑related activities.
Maintain strict confidentiality regarding sensitive information.
Collaborate with key partners to develop impactful events.
Apply established processes throughout event lifecycle.
Determine appropriate resources for projects.
Demonstrate fiscal responsibility.
Continuously seek and implement process and service improvements.
Experiences / Education – Required
Bachelor’s degree required.
Minimum of 3+ years of event planning experience.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Solutions‑oriented approach to managing customer expectations and requests.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across diverse groups and organizational levels.
Proficient in coordinating travel logistics.
Strong project management capabilities.
Exceptional customer focus.
Experiences / Education – Desired
Proficiency in M365 Office.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Highly organized and detail‑oriented.
Strong decision‑making abilities.

Hours of Work / Work Schedule
Monday – Friday, standard business hours.
May need to support evening or weekend events as needed.

Compensation The range for this position is $63,000.00 – $86,625.00 assuming full‑time status.
