Senior Division Order Analyst
The Senior Division Order Analyst oversees and maintains a specific geographical area of responsibility for the Land team insofar as Division Orders. Responsible for reviewing title, title opinions, agreements, and curative to create ownership decks. The ideal candidate will be experienced in handling a wide range of tasks and will be able to work independently with minimal supervision. The position will report to the Division Order Manager and will be located in downtown Houston, TX. Hybrid work schedule is an option for remote work on Mondays and Fridays. Level and salary commensurate with background and experience. Essential Job Functions: Creation, maintenance, and accuracy of record title ownership division of interest for both billing and revenue in the Enertia Land System Timely payment of royalties in accordance with state statutes Analysis of title opinions, land contracts, operating agreements, oil and gas leases, broker reports, curative, well and regulatory documents, conveyances, probate and heirship data and other legal documents to determine ownership and lease burden relationships for production proceeds from oil and gas wells Clearing and curing title with Land staff Processing all probate information and transfer documents from interest owners to maintain a correct division of interest Maintaining and correcting divisions of interest as payouts and/or recompletions occur Reviewing, discussing and providing area updates on a recurring basis for respective area and activity Coordinating with Accounting to ensure proper and timely distribution of revenues and processing of any prior period adjustments Researching legal suspense items Reviewing and interpreting legal documents/transfers of title to perform mass changes in Enertia Land System Reviewing and handling re-classes of interest, funds transfers, etc. in the Enertia Land System Verifying GWI/NRI on non-operated division orders Familiar with working escheat Performing quarterly audits of suspense funds and SOX controls and/or assisting with audit requests Performing routine data input and administration activities within the Enertia Land System Familiar with name and address data set-ups and maintenance Performing detailed analysis of title opinions and legal documents to determine title ownership and identify/resolve identified issues Researching ownership through laws of descent and distribution and interest succession Responding to inquiries from mineral owners, title attorneys, other third parties, and internal staff regarding property interests This job description is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of duties and responsibilities of the position. Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma or GED equivalent, or college degree 7 years of experience as a Division Order Analyst Strong Marcellus, Montana and North Dakota experience Strong knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook Well organized and flexible Strong interpersonal skills Ability to balance multiple priorities Strong written and verbal communication skills Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Must possess the ability to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer, copier, files, telephone, and fax; maintain attention to detail despite interruptions; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone.
