With repeat business from institutions such as Northwell, Yale & United Healthcare to name but a few, they are looking for a
Construction Estimator
to join the business and provide competitive bidding for a variety of project work throughout the tri-state area. Your new role As a
Construction Estimator,
you will join a team focused on competitively bidding for interior fit-out and renovation works in addition to selecting ground-up builds spanning the tri-state area with project values from $500k to $5M. As a construction Estimator, you will be expected to manage the following on a daily basis: Analyzing and interpreting architectural plans/ construction blueprints. Capable of performing detailed quantity take-offs and organizing the quantities with unit pricing in production of a complete cost estimate. The ability to build a full conceptual cost estimate from architectural sketches/schematics. Experience across lump-sum, Design+Build, and GMP contract types. Providing detailed proposals and accurate bid packages. Experience in developing and implementing value engineering solutions to drive down project costs for the owner while maintaining a high level of construction quality. The ability to negotiate throughout the bidding process. What you'll need to succeed In order to be successful as a
Construction Estimator , you will have 5+ years experience competitively bidding for commercial project work within a GC | CM environment weighted across interior fit-out and renovation project work. You will be comfortable bidding on projects valued at up to $10M independently and be competent across all trades, inclusive of MEPs. Having healthcare, or life science specific project experience is not essential, but advantageous. Along with experience using Pro-core or similar take-off software.
