PREMIER PROTECTIVE PACKAGING is located in Walker, MI, we specialize in unique custom packaging applications using Polyethylene (PE) Foam, Bubble, and Non-Woven Spun Bond Polypropylene (SBPP) protective packaging materials. Our manufacturing technology utilizes state of the art, customizable sheet, bubble bag, die cut and laminating equipment that allows us to produce custom packaging.
We are looking for an experienced Sales Manager to join our team.
Job Summary: Under the general direction of the company President, this position is responsible for contacting potential customers to develop and generate sales and manages the company marketing programs. Compensation: This is an exempt position not entitled to overtime. The compensation will be a mix of salary, and other incentive pay. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Actively and consistently prospects and develops new sources of business through telephone marketing and outside personal sales calls 2. Cultivates business relationships 3. Develops a sales and marketing strategy to achieve company sales goals and revenues 4. Sets individual sales targets 5. Oversees the activities and performance of customer service and pricing. 6. Coordinates and monitors online sales activity 7. Investigates lost sales and customer accounts 8. Forecasts monthly, quarterly and annual sales revenue 9. Generates timely sales reports 10. Formulates sales policies and procedures 11. Conducts market research 12. Analyzes data to identify sales opportunities 13. Attends trade meetings and industry conventions 14. Responds to inquiries in a timely manner 15. Maintains up to date prospect information 16. Investigates new product development 17. Manages the marketing of product and services for the company 18. Develops short and long-term sales and marketing plans 19. Identifies and reacts to changes in customer, competitor and business climate 20. This is a non-remote position. This position is expected to be at the Company's office except when traveling and visiting customer sites. Travel required up to 50% of the time primarily in the Great Lakes States. Job Qualifications: 1. Bachelor of Science degree in Business, sales and or Marketing related curriculum or other related program 2. 7 plus years in sales, at least 5 as a sales manager or 3 plus years packaging industry experience 3. Knowledge of Polyethylene foam, bubble, and non- woven spun bond polypropylene protective packaging materials 4. Superior written and verbal communication skills 5. Fluent with Microsoft office 6. Ability to professionally resolve customer issues Other duties and responsibilities: 1.
