SUMMARY:
Responsible for executing the configuration, support, maintenance and improvements of our SalesForce CRM system improving processes and effectiveness of the SalesForce platform. Engages with sales, marketing, and IT teams to deliver system processes and capabilities of the SalesForce platform based on business needs.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Provides administration and support of Salesforce database including but not limited to managing multiple user setups, profiles, and roles, customization of objects, fields, record types, page layouts and validations.
- Works with the Sales Management team to create and manage workflow rules, data validation, automation, and triggers; develops and creates customized reports and dashboards.
- Serves as liaison to the business to collect requirements, design project plans, and execution of new development requests to ensure the application is meeting business needs; executes changes in accordance with IT change management and configuration processes.
- Establish and execute communication plans keeping all users informed of changes, new product updates, policies, and expectations.
- Liaise between Sales Team and IT to support customer needs for PacePort; train Sales Team on the use of PacePort.
- Provide training for new Sales Team members on "Action Selling" techniques.
- Ensures the accuracy of various reports, documents, procedures and operational databases, and related details through audits, queries, and operational reviews; works with teams to resolve discrepancies.
- Assists with developing or participating in sales and market or cross-functional project or program objectives, which includes proposed budgets, timelines, materials, personnel, and other project requirements, receives direction and presents information to management.
- Interprets and applies department policies and procedures and assists with applicable laws, rules, and regulations; receives guidance within these areas as needed.
- Contributes to the efficiency and effectiveness of the department's service to its customers by offering suggestions and directing or participating as an active member of a work team.
- Promotes and supports the overall mission of Pace Analytical by demonstrating courteous and cooperative behavior when interacting with customers and staff; acts in a manner that promotes a harmonious and effective workplace environment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, business administration, or a closely related field; AND two (2) years of software development and/or support experience; OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Required Knowledge and Skills
Required Knowledge:
- Principles and practices of software development and implementation.
- Documentation and user instruction methods and techniques.
- Basic understanding of the administration and oversight of sales and market programs, policies and procedures.
- Intermediate to complex methods to resolve software problems, questions and concerns.
- Various understanding of applicable sales and market laws, codes and regulations.
- Computer applications and systems related to the work.
- Principles and practices to serving as an effective project team member.
- Methods to communicate with staff, coworkers, and customers to ensure safe, effective and appropriate operations.
- Correct business English, including spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
Required Skills:
- Analyzing and documenting business processes, user requirements, and outputs such as test results.
- Preparing clear and concise program documentation, user procedures, correspondence, reports, and other written materials.
- Instructing users in the use of new or enhanced business applications, included explaining technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Analyzing systems and issues and developing specifications for new or modified processes to meet department needs.
- Serving as a team member and the development and management of projects.
- Operating in both a team and individual contributor environment.
- Interpreting, applying and explaining applicable laws, codes, and regulations.
- Using initiative and independent judgment within established department guidelines.
