Job Title: PR and Community Affairs Director Status: Exempt (Remote) Reports to: CEO Location : Remote Summary: PR and Community Affairs Director — Blackstone Medical Services The PR and Community Affairs Director at Blackstone Medical Services is a remote, senior-facing role reporting to the Chief of Staff, focused on strengthening the company’s public presence and positioning founder Vick Tipnes as a leader in healthcare innovation and philanthropy across Colombia and LATAM. Core Focus The role blends strategic public relations, campaign execution, event management, and stakeholder engagement to drive earned media, speaking opportunities, and measurable community impact. Key Responsibilities Strategic PR & Positioning: Develop and execute PR strategies, secure earned media, and build consistent messaging and media kits. Campaign Execution: Lead operational delivery of campaign phases, mobilize volunteers, and document campaign outcomes. Event Strategy & Management: Secure speaking engagements, plan and execute PR events, and manage logistics and follow-up. Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain regular communication with media, partners, influencers, and community leaders. Reporting & Accountability: Deliver weekly KPI reports and track all PR activities, milestones, and risks. Performance Metrics (Weekly KPIs) Success is measured through tangible outputs such as PR meetings, events executed, attendance numbers, stakeholder briefings, campaign milestones achieved, and earned media placements. Qualifications Required: PR, event, or community affairs experience; strong project management; bilingual English/Spanish; willingness to travel; ability to work independently. Ideal: Existing LATAM media relationships, campaign or volunteer management experience, and a proven record of executive visibility through media or speaking engagements. Success Benchmarks First 90 days: PR strategy finalized, campaigns on track, initial earned media secured, and 3+ major speaking engagements booked. 6 months: Consistent KPI achievement with regular regional media coverage and an activated volunteer base.
